Kankakee Sands Paint-out New in 2018

New this year to the IPAPA schedule is the Kankakee Sands paint out June 9th. A free, open to all, non-competitive event hosted by The Nature Conservancy, TNC, will give artists unique challenges in this furthest northwestern reserve.

Come paint at the prairie restoration at
Kankakee Sands in NW Indiana,

The Nature Conservancy is the organization hosting this IPAPA event; where there are rolling oak savannas, wetland habitats, and thousands of acres of wildflowers and native grasses. There is a herd of about 3 dozen bison in a very large enclosure with expected orangish-colored calves.
We will meet at the project office at 3294 N US 41, Morocco, IN 47963 and branch out from there.
Several food venues are located at Fair Oaks Farms, at the intersection of SR 14 and I-65, and lodging is available at Rensselaer, IN

Nature Conservancy | Protecting Nature, Preserving Life has some maps and more.

TNC staff will give talks on restoration efforts at
8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Central time
