ADULT WORKSHOPS (Saturday):

SKETCHING with James Werner:
If you’ve always wanted to take a sketch book with you on vacation to capture that special place, you’ll want to take this workshop. For all skill levels. 9am-2pm, $35 James Werner also teaches drawing for the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette’s regular studio art classes.

WATERCOLOR with Jeannie McLeish:
Learn the secrets of painting the landscape quickly as the light is changing. You will come away with experience and valuable reference hand-outs to use in the future. From Mooresville, IN Jeanne is admired for being one of the best teachers of plein aire painting in the country. For all skill levels, 9am-2pm. $45 Jeanne also donated the original watercolor for the RAFFLE.

PASTEL with Carol Strock-Wasson:
Chalk is a soft and sensuous medium for artists. Blending the colors of nature on paper is what pastel is all about. This workshop is also for all skill levels, 9am-5pm. $45 Carol is a prize winning artist from Union City.

YOUTH WORKSHOP (Saturday): ages 7-13 with Cindy Krulitz:
Create your own landscape using pen and ink with background watercolor washes. Don’t be shy, trust Cindy to show you how, step-by-step, and have fun doing it! Some materials will be provided. Beginning and all skill levels. 1pm-2:30pm., $15

ALL DAY PAINTING SALE IN THE TRAIN DEPOT
9 am-5 pm (Saturday)!!

Take home a painting!! The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette will host a SALE of finished and framed paintings by participating artists, 9 am-5 pm. Artists will bring their paintings on their own display easels. Any adult artist is invited to register his or her own paintings in the Train Depot from 8am-9am. 30% of the selling price will benefit the Art Museum. We are proud to announce that there will also be Purchase Awards.

FREE OIL PAINTING DEMONSTRATION by Jeff Klinker

The GATHERING of “WET” PAINTINGS 4 pm in Riehle Plaza (Saturday)
All participants are invited to bring their just completed, “WET” Paintings, Drawings, and Pastels to Riehle Plaza to share their efforts of the day with each other and spectators. The public is invited to purchase paintings directly from the artist. Immediately followed by the Artist Reception in the Train Depot.

RECEPTION TO MEET THE ARTISTS 5-7 pm in the Train Depot (Saturday)
Meet the artists in the Train Depot and have a chance to ask them “how they did that” or “why they chose those colors or that particular scene”.

Raffle tickets $1, 6 for $5, 15 for $10 at the Paint-Out, Oct 11th. Winner announced at 4pm at Riehle Plaza. You do not need to be present to win.
